Thank you for your kind comment Char. I’ve been asked a few times what I did to promote the book and the honest truth is I didn’t do anything different to what all indie authors do. I’ve written some blogs, done some Q+As, shared my stuff on Twitter and Facebook…I don’t really know what else to suggest. The one thing I think may have given me a big headstart was asking my half-dozen beta readers to post a review on Amazon pretty much as soon as Wolf’s Head went up for sale.
Some books have been out for months yet only have one, or even zero reviews – within a week of release WH had about half a dozen, genuine five star reviews from people that had read it.
Good luck, and thanks again!
I’ll have to give that review strategy a try. By the way, your cover art is wonderful. May I ask who you hired for that? I’ll be looking for medieval, Third Crusade era artwork for my novel sometime during the next few months. Thanks!
I was blown away by the cover art for Gordon Doherty’s “Legionary”, and he told me GB Print had created the cover, so I got in touch with them. I’m very pleased with how it turned out, it was well worth the money. 🙂 https://www.facebook.com/pages/GB-Print/170702637942

Congrats! You are the indie self-published author many of us hope to emulate! Can you tell us your marketing secrets?
